Post-2015 development agenda: “Green” vs “brown” development strategy

Taking into account the conventional use and scarcity of resources it is time to reconsider the previous growth models and find new models that would put economies on a path to sustainable development – “inclusive green growth”. These challenges are being discussed in the fourth of the series of e-discussions on Sustainability and Growth that has been launched by the United Nations Development Group in the framework of the Global Thematic Consultations on Growth and Employment.

The Center for Economic Research has contributed to the fourth in a series of e-discussion on Sustainability and Growth with its vision of the “green growth” model for Uzbekistan which involves strategies in the renewable energy sphere, in the housing and communal, transportation, waste management, and water management sectors.
