Microfinance and higher education - is symbiosis possible?

In many countries microfinance is one of the effective tools of dealing with social disparity and poverty. In Uzbekistan, this sector grows rapidly and represented by a wide range of financial institutions.

Microfinance plays obviously important role in formation of sustainable sources of income, however, if necessary preconditions would be created, this role could be strengthened further. The topic is about an efficient use of microcredit schemes to finance students of higher education institutes who come from low-income families. International experience suggests that microcredits for disadvantaged students are more effective tool of dealing with poverty than microcredits for business.
