The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) organizes 2 expert group meetings in Bangkok.

This year, the expert group meetings are being held as a part of ESCAP SDG Week, which is held from 28 November to 2 December 2016 at the UN conference Center in Bangkok.

- The first expert group meeting is on the Regional implementation of the Vienna declaration and programme of action for landlocked developing countries.

- The second one is on Macroeconomic prospects, policy challenges and sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific.

ESCATO platform is a unique opportunity to bring together stakeholders from government, academia, the international community, civil society and the private sector and provide them with: (1) an enabling environment for knowledge sharing and engaging in technical level discussions on different aspects of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and; (2) the opportunity to provide feedback on the support required from ESCAP and other development partners as they prepare to implement the 2030 Agenda for sustainable Development at the national level.
