Review of international experience of law-making: lessons for Uzbekistan

Law-making is a process of drafting laws and their examination in the country’s parliament. Thorough implementation of the law-making process directly influences efficiency and feasibility of laws.

To date regulation of the law-making process in Uzbekistan still has a space for further development and improvement.

There is a diverse and solid experience of improving law-making process by foreign countries. Undoubtedly, review of their parliaments’ work experience, revealing main work principles that can be integrated into the law-making in Uzbekistan could promote improvement of the process in our country and strengthen parliament’s role in the system of powers separation.

The research aims at studying foreign experience in implementation of the law-making process and developing recommendations on improvement of its efficiency in Uzbekistan.
