The aim of this research is to develop recommendations on improving the education and re-education system to ensure achieving long-term goals of modernization projects.

Research tasks:

1. Analysis of current and prospective demand in qualified personnel.

2. Analysis of international experience in educating, training, and re-training during the transition to innovative development.

3. Defining major challenges occuring in the system of the vocational education, universities, enterprises, ministries and agencies in Uzbekistan.

4. Identifying key policy issues for improving training and re-training.
