Uzbekistan in major international ratings: current positions and ways of improving them

Globalization has formed a demand for tools that provide the ability to track progress and to compare the results of the world in different areas with minimal resources for searching and processing information. Such tools, especially after 2000, have been represented by different indices and ratings, which currently cover almost all life spheres of state and society.

Despite rapid economic growth, relatively high social costs, and market reforms, Uzbekistan is not even in the top hundred countries in most of the international ratings. Even with the overall positive direction, the improvement dynamics of positions of Uzbekistan falls behind dynamics of other developing countries, including many post-soviet ones.

The main aim of this study is to examine the current indicators of Uzbekistan in the world's leading indices and to prepare recommendations for their improvement.
