Encouraging regional exports (SBPE) as an important factor in ensuring balanced development of the regions

The priorities of economic transformation should be directed to the formation of export-oriented economy, where export growth is to be achieved through a sharp increase in the share of non-resource exports of products with a high share of processing. This export should be based primarily on the activities of an industrial-oriented SBPE which are included in the value chain and united in the framework of small industrial zones and regional clusters.

SBPE development and the growth of their export opportunities are the key areas of economic policy in Uzbekistan.

Currently, the key problem is that despite measures taken, at the present rate of development of industry-oriented SBPEs, they are not able to ensure the growth of export of products with high added value.

The aim of the research is to develop recommendations for improvement of policies of encouraging SBPE exports in the medium term.
