"One Belt, One Route" Project: long-term economic perspectives for Uzbekistan

On September 16, 2013 the idea of "Economic belt of the Silk Road" project was announced by the President of China, Xi Jinping, in his speech in Astana. The project was presented as a new format of deepening cooperation between China, Central Asia and Russia.

Approximately, the realization of the planned projects under this new initiative will take about 30 years and will require about $200 billion (in prices of 2014).
