Despite considerable progress in socio-economic reforms there were no significant changes in the field of managing science and R&D. Uzbekistan's long-term development goals are largely bound to increasing competetiveness of the national economy and welfare improvement of the population. Innovation activity of the real sector of economy plays an important role in achieving these goals. To this end, a favorable environment for promoting innovations has to be created.
The research will develop recommendations on innovation development policy aimed at creating the required institutional framework and providing stimuli for innovation activity.
