Market overview of energy-saving lamps in Uzbekistan

Preliminary analysis of demand for energy-saving lamps showed that consumers primarily resistant to buy energy-saving lamps, although in general they are positively related to energy conservation. Main barrier for consumers - price of lamps and low satisfactory quality of imported compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs). Light-emitting diode lamps (LED) due to the absence in the market and their higher price, compared to the CFL, are bought in very small quantities. Nowadays most popular are incandescent lamps, including halogen.

The purpose of this review is to analyze demand and supply of energy saving lamps in Uzbekistan and identify trends and prospects in this market.

Objectives of this review are as follows:
