In 2012 the CER team with support from local partners in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan is reviewing urban development trends in all Central Asian countries. Country perspectives and preliminary results of the research will be presented and discussed at the regional workshop in Tashkent on October 9-10, 2012. The final report on “Policies of Urbanization in Central Asian States in Post-Soviet Period” will be issued by the end of 2012.
